Comments on: Renault confirm ’safe’ engine for Alonso

Renault are going to race a safe engine for Alonso and a new spec for Fisi. Ferrari meanwhile are pushing very hard with their engine which recently touched 20000 RPM in testing. Michael was more than a second faster than the second fastest driver in the Jerez tests held last week. So , I think Michael could win the race but Alonso would finish 4th or 5th and win the WDC. It would be fitting that Michael retires from the sport winning his last race.

As far as I know, you did not miss out anything. I believe Massa is also running on a new engine.

@Haas, Massa had engine change i China, so he raced with the same engine in Japan, so he shud also get same the new engine. Or am I missing something ?

Ferrari too is going for a new spec of engine so the risk is balanced. Fisi should be gunning for victory in this one considering Massa is running Suzuka’s engine in the race. The engine change in China might just cost Massa the third place in the championship
