Oil, murder and a Formula 1 race track?

As reported on grandprix.com

“We are currently in discussion with Malaysia Airports to engage their services to manage the Astana International Airport and we also hope to have a racing circuit near the airport, I am very impressed with the facilities here and very impressed with what they are doing at the circuit. – Transport and Communications Minister Askar Mamin, Kazakhstan”

Whether this turns into reality or not is still a far fetched thing. But what is interesting is countries like Kazakhstan understanding the importance of the sports and following, publicity & money the sports brings with it.

    Good question 🙂

Maybe it has to do something with the civil unrest in Kazakhstan! I don’t play around with the headlines of news from other sites, I just state them as they are.
