The European Commission is concerned that events like grands prix, where cigarette logos are displayed on cars and beamed around Europe via the media, contravenes European laws.

In a new statement, the EC said it was taking ‘action’ against F1 countries Italy, Hungary and Spain by sending them ‘letters of formal notice’.
