McLaren MercedesAs reported on F1Racing.net

The McLaren team has signed a long-term partnership with Spanish insurance group Mutua Madrileña. The company follows Fernando Alonso from Renault to the Woking-based team.

Mutua Madrileña branding will be located on the front wing endplates of the team’s 2007 challenger, the MP4-22, on the sleeve of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes drivers as well as their helmets. The Mutua Madrileña branding will be revealed for the first time at the presentation of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team in Valencia, Spain from 14th – 16th January 2007.

So the moves have started at last. We expect few more sponsors to change teams coming next year given the number of drivers changing teams next season.

With the logos of tobacco backer Mild Seven not allowed to be displayed at Silverstone, the championship-leading squad is to run in a ‘Tiger’ theme, designed by Taiwanese studio DEM Inc.

Fernando Alonso and Giancarlo Fisichella’s light blue cars will wear tiger eyes on the front and rear wings, while the animal is portrayed ready to pounce on the side pods.

I’m trying to get my hands on the image of new livery, will update the post as and when I get one.
