Felipe MassaAs reported on F1Racing.net

“Of course, we are at a point in the championship where, naturally, there is pressure on us,” began Felipe Massa. “It is a delicate moment. But this is a normal situation: when you are a Ferrari driver and the team is fighting for the titles then there will always be pressure.”

“I see us in good shape at all three remaining races,” he maintained. “The three circuits should suit us well and even here in Shanghai, Ferrari has won before. However, having said that, the past does not count. What is important is that, this year, we have gone well on tracks with similar characteristics, like Turkey and Malaysia, so these circuits all share some similarities with Shanghai and I think you can say the same about Suzuka next weekend.”

“We have new things on the car such as new aerodynamic components and suspensions and that should help us a bit,” he revealed. “I think we have done a solid job in this area and it gives me more confidence. Certainly, our rivals have also got new parts but I know we will have a competitive package.”

What an amazing qualifers for Nico Rosberg, his second F1 race and he’ll be starting from 3rd grid position behind Fisichella & Button.

Ferrari had engine problems in it’s hands since they changed the engine for Schumacher & Massa both. As a result, Schumacher would be starting from 14th grid position whereas Massa didn’t ran in second round, so he’ll be starting from the back-of-the-grid alongside Coulthard, who also have to change the engine since Red Bull is also using same Ferrari Engine and Ralf Schumacher, whose engine blew after he got provisional pole position at the end of 2nd round.

With Montoya, Räikkönen & Alonso taking 6th, 7th & 8th position respectively, it is said that they were running with heavy fuel load compared to other cars.

The most exciting moment came at the end of first round, when Michael Schumacher reached 16th position and was nearly knocked out at the end of first round.

The exact grid positions of the drivers will be available only tomorrow morning and I am quiet sure it is going to be very complicated given so many engine failures. All in all tomorrow is going to be another exciting F1 race.

Massa’s engine was said to have suffered from the same problems which apparently caused David Coulthard to blow the Ferrari V8 in his Red Bull right after he crossed the finish line in Bahrain. The Scotsman will also be penalised ten grid positions for changing his engine. Had it blown before the finish he would have been able to change it without penalty.

What was important, he added, was that Schumacher’s motor did not have problems. Friday’s first practice session saw not only Schumacher take it slow but also the other leading contenders, including the driver who last year broke Schumacher’s five-year title streak, Renault’s Fernando Alonso .

Speaking ahead of this weekend’s race at Sepang he told reporters: “It was very disappointing but the important thing is we know our pace is there and we haven’t got to wait for two weeks to show that. Next weekend we will be racing and we can show the car’s pace.

It’s high time that “The Oldest Newcomer” really prove himself.
